If you’re new here, I journal daily and I allocate points for many of my daily tasks. At the end of the day, I add up these points, convert them to dollars at my $0.20 per 10 points rate, and set that money aside for a goal of my choice. This year, my goal is to pay off my $20,000 loan as quickly as possible, so all the money I get from these daily savings go towards paying my loan.

I pay this money from my own pocket, on a daily basis. It’s a small amount, usually around $1, that can easily be saved by mindful shopping and reducing waste. So not only that I save money, but I become more mindful about my spending habits.

Let’s see how these five days unravel.

21 February 2026, Saturday

It’s finally weekend, time to relax and catch up on chores.

My mother made coffee in the morning, that was so nice! Then, I created and published 2 shorts, 20 points. I managed to work a little on my bathroom redoing, I put silicone on the contour of the bathtub so we could use it until I finish my project, 10 points. I did 3 rounds of laundry, 15 points. And spent fun time with my son, dancing, discovering and cuddling, 10 points. Fitness was low, 2,000 steps, that’s 2 points. Ah, and I made a sale on Vinted, a pair of ankle boots, $5.78.

22 February 2026, Sunday

I woke up to coffee made by my mother. I took some meat out from the freezer to cook today. And packed and delivered my Vinted order.
